I’d wanted to try turning the amazingly talent Sergio Calvet’s idiosyncratic drawing style into three dimension and finally got the chance with his character SKYJACK. This piece is based on Sergio’s own design.

When I was asked to do a superhero sculpture for the Relay for Life Charity, I knew I wanted to do someone previously under-represented in 3D (do we need more Wolverines? Really?). No other hero is the physical manifestation of the year 1980. As I’ve said before, if XANADU with Olivia Newton-John were a person, it’d be Dazzler.
